Introduction & Our Organisation

This statement describes the actions taken by Keamore Limited to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chain.

We develop, license, and support a wide range of software products, services, and devices that deliver new opportunities, greater convenience, and enhanced value to people’s lives. Our products include cross-device productivity applications; server applications; business solution applications. We design, manufacture, and sell IoT devices related accessories that integrate with our cloud-based offerings.

As a small company we have a small number of partners we work with to provide our Products & Services. We review the policies of new suppliers and on an annual basis verify current suppliers have an up to date modern slavery statement in place.

This statement is made pursuant to section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It constitutes Keamore’s (Keamore) slavery and human trafficking statement. This statement covers the activities Keamore and SymTerra, which procure goods and services from and form part of Keamore’s supply chain.

Key functions of the modern slavery act and Keamore’s approach is the ensure for all our employees:

·         Adherence to local and national laws

·         Freedom of workers to terminate employment

·         Freedom of movement

·         Freedom of association

·         Prohibits any threat of violence, harassment and intimidation

·         Prohibits the use of worker-paid recruitment fees

·         Prohibits compulsory overtime

·         Prohibits child labour

·         Prohibits discrimination

·         Prohibits confiscation of workers original identification documents

·         Provides access to remedy, compensation and justice for victims of modern slavery

These are also the key areas we assess our suppliers against to audit their compliance with the act.

Our Supply Chain

Keamore is committed to continuously improving its practices to identify and eliminate any slavery and human trafficking in its business and supply chains, and to acting ethically and with integrity in all its business relationships. Keamore uses a select number of suppliers who supply goods for sale, provide services and support our operations.

Policies

Keamore has a number of policies which underpin our approach to tackling the risk of modern slavery in our supply chain. These include:

  • Working with Suppliers and Partners Policy which sets out internal requirements for buying goods and services;

  • Responsible Procurement Policy covering issues of human rights, child and forced labour and modern slavery; and

  • Whistleblowing Policy which encourages staff and volunteers to report concerns including any related to modern slavery/trafficking and child or forced labour.

Due Diligence

We continue to monitor suppliers we believe present high modern slavery risks in our supply chain.

All suppliers which we class as high risk are removed from our supplier and will not be considered unless they provide evidence of compliance to :

  • Modern Slavery Act Due Diligence covering their governance, policies, training and supply chain management processes; and

  • Provide full detail of the supply chains they are proposing to commission goods from on behalf of Keamore.

For factories in the supply chains of high risk suppliers we request that the operators of those factories:

  • are members of either SEDEX or BSCI; and

  • provide independent ethical audits through either SEDEX, BSCI or Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (a certification programme which maintains similar standards to SEDEX and BSCI).

Keamore’s directors are responsible for assessing the information submitted by suppliers and factory operators. Should a supplier or factory fail to provide the information requested or to meet Keamore’s expectations, Keamore will suspend/terminate our relationship with a supplier or asking a supplier not to procure goods from a particular factory.

Training

During the year, we have continued to provide advice and guidance to those employees who have direct responsibility for relevant supply chains. Our employees receive mandatory training in modern slavery. We use a range of training infromation form https://www.gla.gov.uk/publications/resources/ to educate our teams on Modern Slavery.

Looking Ahead

We will continue to enhance our procedures to help us identify, prevent and mitigate any risks of modern slavery or human trafficking in relation to new and existing suppliers and in relation to our own operations.
