The Challenge

The Targeted Catchment Investigation (TCI) programme was a new process for Lanes, requiring coordination between hundreds of field engineers, multiple delivery partners, and Thames Water's operational teams.

With no established framework to manage this complexity, communication was fragmented, work packs were duplicated, and reporting lacked consistency. Manual processes and spreadsheets slowed issue resolution, making it difficult to maintain data quality and accountability across the supply chain.

For a subcontractor working closely with a tier-one contractor, clarity and accountability are essential. TCI needed a way to:
